Add a touch of magic to your wearable projects without writing a single line of code! The LilyTwinkle is a ready-to-use LilyPad microcontroller board built around a miniature ATtiny85. Though it's as small as some of our LilyPad sensors it delivers an out-of-the-box LED animation making it a fantastic educational tool for adding twinkling lights to costumes plushies and garments without a computer or a bulky main board.Pre-Programmed Twinkle Lighting EffectsThe LilyTwinkle is a uniquely programmed LilyTiny that controls four LEDs with a synchronized twinkle-fade effect. Simply sew on four LEDs and connect a battery and the LEDs will twinkle-fade (a lot like fireflies... or lightning bugs if that's what you call them). Because the code is already on the ATtiny chip you can incorporate it into your wearables project right away!Sewable E-Textile DesignLilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley and cooperatively designed by Leah and SparkFun. To ensure these components integrate seamlessly into your wardrobe (no pun intended) the LilyTiny that this board is based on relies on some specific hardware choices:Sewable Tabs: LilyTwinkle features six large conductive connection pads that let you stitch it directly into fabric with conductive thread.Reprogrammable Hardware: Advanced users can easily rewrite the ATtiny85 code using the ICSP programming connectors broken out on the back of the board.Low-Profile Build: Measuring just 20mm in outer diameter on a thin 0.8mm PCB this board lays perfectly flat against your garments.Washable Hardware: Built to withstand real-world use your finished clothing can be washed without damaging the electronics.This tiny board gives you all the magic of programmed lighting without any of the complicated setup making it the perfect starting point for interactive textiles and dynamic costumes.
