LilyPad Buzzer

Add custom audio feedback to your wearable electronics with the LilyPad Buzzer! This low-profile inductive buzzer board is designed for the LilyPad e-textile ecosystem letting you create different noises and tones by changing the frequency of your I/O toggling. It provides just the right volume for it to be loud enough to hear clearly through a pocket but not obtrusively loud in quiet environments.Because the buzzer is an inductive component a few operational requirements help keep your hardware safe: it acts as a short to ground when not actively driven so set both I/O pins to low (0V) when the buzzer is not in use. To ensure these components integrate seamlessly into your wardrobe (no pun intended) LilyPad relies on some specific hardware choices:Sewable Tabs: The LilyPad Buzzer features two large conductive connection pads that let you stitch it directly into fabric with conductive thread.Low-Profile Build: Measuring just 20mm in outer diameter on a thin 0.8mm PCB this board lays perfectly flat against or inside of your garments.Washable Warning: The buzzer included on this board is not washable! Water will permanently damage the component so avoid washing any part of your garment that contains it.By integrating the LilyPad Buzzer into your designs you can easily program physical notifications alarms or musical tones without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.
