To make assembly and disassembly easier the mast unscrews into three separate segments allowing it to fit perfectly into the included carrying case. This design makes the pole much more travel-friendly!Accuracy Balanced with ProtectionAnyone using the telescoping pole could potentially extend it to the wrong length leading to incorrect vertical measurements. Since this segmented pole (when fully assembled) is static it's much less prone to errors! This surveying pole also features a built-in bubble level to check if it is perfectly vertical so your measurements are as accurate as possible.The base of the pole terminates in a sharp pointed end to establish a slip-free grip in soil gravel and rough terrain. We've even included a removable cover that fits over the tip so it doesn't puncture your carrying case and damage any of your other equipment during travel.
