Bring dynamic color to your wearable projects. The LilyPad RGB LED board gives you the flexibility to blink any color you need whether you are using it as a simple status indicator or pulsing the red green and blue channels to produce a broad spectrum of custom colors. To make wiring as easy as possible we updated this board's design to use a common-cathode configuration. This means each color channel is connected directly to a designated sew tab labeled R  G and B making it easy to use and integrate into your e-textile designs!In your code just set the corresponding pin to HIGH for a standard digital output or use an analog value up to 255 to dial in the exact brightness you need.Sewable E-Textile DesignLilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley and cooperatively designed by Leah and SparkFun. To ensure these components integrate seamlessly into your wardrobe (no pun intended) LilyPad LEDs rely on some specific hardware choices:Sewable Tabs: The LilyPad RGB LED features four large conductive connection pads that let you stitch it directly into fabric with conductive thread.Low-Profile Build: Measuring just 20mm in outer diameter on a thin 0.8mm PCB this board lays perfectly flat against or inside of your garments.Washable Hardware: Built to withstand real-world use your finished clothing can be washed without damaging the electronics.By combining this full-color LED with the wider variety of available LilyPad input power and sensor boards you can easily build fully interactive multi-colored light displays directly into your fabric projects.
